Starting at approximately 9 pm Eastern Time on Tuesday 3/22/2011 we will be performing maintenance on the CrazyHotelWorkers systems. This maintenance could take up to about 4 hours. We will update http://status.crazyhotelworkers.com/ as the maintenance progresses.

Status was down for approximately 30 seconds this evening due to an unscheduled upgrade. The upgrade went smoothly, and at present time, all systems are online and operational!

We have completed the move from Host Virtual to our own co-located server, with hosting by Velocity Telephone located in the Minnesota Gateway. The Minnesota Gateway is “The Most Connected Building in Minnesota”. At present time, the only major systems which remain down are www.chwhelp.com (and the related email addresses), and our main website. Chat, the Forums, and email are all fully operational. If you have questions, please contact the IT Team at it.team@crazyhotelworkers.com. We will update this page as the remaining systems return to full operation.

As of 12:35 a.m. PDT April 16, 2010, irc.crazyhotelworkers.com is again operational and the webpage at http://chat.crazyhotelworkers.com has been restored. We are working to restore other systems that were lost during the April 7 system failure however no estimate has been made as to when these systems will be restored.

On 7 April, 2010 we experienced a catastrophic server failure on the main CrazyHotelWorkers server. Only email survived. We are currently in the process of finding a replacement. In the mean-time, we apologize for any inconvenience. This could not have come at a worse time, as I am about to take a 2 week vacation.

The main CrazyHotelWorkers server experienced an unexpected outage for about 1.5 hrs tonight. We are working to determine the cause at this time. As of 8 pm central time, all services are back online and operational.

We received the following email this afternoon from Host Virtual, our web provider. crazyhotel.crazyhotelworkers.com is our main server. This will affect most CrazyHotelWorkers services. We will restore service as quickly as possible once the patch/reboot is done.

Please be advised that we need to perform an emergency patch and reboot of your host server.

During this time the instance below may be briefly unavailable/rebooted. We’re working to perform the patching and reboots beginning 08:00:00 p.m. Friday May 15, 2009 — 03:00:00 a.m. Saturday May 16, 2009 GM over an approx. 4 hour window.

Our main server, crazyhotel, appears to have been rebooted this morning. This was done without any warning or prior notice to us. Once we became aware of the situation, all systems were brought back online. At present time, all systems should be online and operational.
